The Farris Hotel is a beautifully restored turn of the century hotel with antique décor and a scenic veranda. Known as “The Queen of Early Texas Hotels” the property is listed with the National Register of Historic Places and has old world charm coupled with modern amenities. Decorated with turn of the century antiques and offering banquet halls, meeting rooms and parlors that can accommodate up to one hundred and fifty people, The Farris is a desirable location for retreats, corporate meetings, seminars, weddings and banquets.
Centrally located in South Texas between I.H.10 and U.S.59 in the heart of the
world’s largest goose concentrations, Eagle Lake is known as “The Goose Hunting
Capital of the World” and The Farris Hotel has been the area’s premiere
destination for hunters in the South Texas and Central Texas Hunting Zones and
bird watchers alike since 1912.
Our sixteen guest rooms open to the “Great Room” which, with big-screen television, card-tables, comfortable armchairs and settees provides an area for relaxation and socializing when our guests unwind after a long day of hunting or bird-watching. Our patrons may wish to sample the friendly pleasures of the “Cooked Goose Saloon”, our full service bar. Please see our related links.
